Molotov Jukebox LIVE in Amsterdam 6/5/2016 (video, photos + Interview)

Hellas Pindakaas was excited to be at the very first ever Molotov Jukebox concert in Amsterdam. We were at Melkweg one hour before the show to interview the band. We wanted to talk to them and ask them a few questions, right before we were caught in a frantic dance with these tropical gypsies from London.

The band, visiting Amsterdam for the tour of their album “Tropical Gypsy”, appeared on stage and opened their live show in Theaterzaal with the song “Dancing with the Dead” from the new album.

Afterwards, Nat, Sam, Adam, Tom, Angus and Rami unleashed waves of latin , jazz, tropical, balkan and gypsy rhythms, taking us to a journey with songs from their first album (Carnival Flower), their latest album (Tropical Gypsy) and their EPs.

It is worth mentioning that in the crowd there were some fans of the band that kept the tropical climate of the music, dressed with flowers and holding pineapples.

The party ended with one of their new songs “Halfway There”. The crowed was ecstatic, cheering them on, asking for one more song. Molotov Jukebox came back on stage, performing two of their biggest hits, “Don’t Panic” and “I Need It”.

Don’t miss the exclusive interview Molotov Jukebox gave to Hellas Pindakaas shortly before their concert in Amsterdam. Tune in tonight Friday 13/5 at around 21:30 local Dutch time.
